This is the DSN’s only fundraiser and serves as an opportunity to celebrate and educate our community about Down syndrome. The 15th Annual Buddy Walk® is hosted by the Champaign Down System Network (DSN) and will attract more than 500 people to the Champaign County Fairgrounds.

The Champaign County Down Syndrome Network (DSN) is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that serves as a support network for families and professionals touched by Down syndrome in East Central Illinois. Our mission is to raise awareness in our community by supporting inclusion, advocacy, education, and activities that enrich the lives of people with Down syndrome.

The Buddy Walk® was established in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness. It is also the world’s most widely recognized public awareness program for the Down syndrome community with over 250 events across the country and around the world. In the past year, 330,000 walkers collectively raised $14.2 million dollars, which is used to support local programs and services as well as national advocacy initiatives.
