What is the Buddy Walk?

The Buddy Walk® was established in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness.  It is also the world’s most widely recognized public awareness program for the Down syndrome community with over 300 events across the country and around the world.

In the past year, 330,000 walkers collectively raised $14.2 million dollars, which is used to support local programs and services as well as national advocacy initiatives.
